MULE
DAY

Think I'm kidding? I'm not!

Mule Day, held annually in Columbia Tennessee, is a day set aside specifically to celebrate this stubborn genetically-engineered breed (sterile offspring of a male donkey and a female horse). There's a parade in which teams of mules pull decorated buggies through the middle of town. There are contests. There are mule paintings for sale. There is the King Mule who wears a crown and gets to ride in a wagon. And there is a Mule Queen, too.

At Mule Day you can get bags and bags of tobacco products and a fishing demonstration. And mud. LOTS of mud.
