It's hard to be a vegetarian in the South, what with country ham, fried chicken, catfish, pork chops, red-eye gravy, and cracklin' cornbread. And beware of the ubiquitous meat-n-three...most of the three will be swimming in lard or snuggled up with a good helping of bacon. And forget about watching your cholesterol. Just forget about it. The South is Hog Heaven, and if you don't believe that then you've just never been there. And if you ain't never been there, then you've just never had good barbeque.
